Lets spice up the apocalypse with mods!

Adding a Mod

To add a mod to your server, follow these easy steps:

  • Log into your Game Server Dashboard and select your Ark: Survival Evolved server.

  • Go to the Console tab under the System menu and click "Stop".

    • Power off your server, this is crucial when editing file contents so that nothing is damaged, goes missing, or overlaps and glitches. Also, when you start your server backup afterwards your changes are immediately applied

There are two ways to proceed:

  1. Install Workshop Mods on a DayZ Server using the Modlist Function

  2. Install Workshop Mods on a DayZ Server using the Additional Mods Function

Install Mods on a DayZ Server using the Modlist Function

  • Go to Steam and launch DayZ, and choose the "Mods" menu.

  • Check all the mods you would like added.

  • Click the "More" dropdown, select "Export list of mods to a file", and click "Only loaded mods".

  • Go to your Game Server Dashboard, click the Management menu dropdown, and click File Manager

  • Upload your .html file from step 3 by clicking the 3 dots at the top right and clicking "upload", you may also drag and drop into the "container" directory.

  • Go to the Configuration menu, click Startup Parameters, and locate Modlist File (Exported from DayZ Launcher)

  • Enter the name of the .html file that you uploaded

  • You are free to start your server!

Install Workshop Mods on a DayZ Server using the Additional Mods Function

  • Go to Steam, click on DayZ, and locate the Workshop tab on the navigation bar.

  • When in the Workshop menu, locate your desired mods and click "+Subscribe"

  • After you have installed the content by updating DayZ, launch DayZ and choose the "Mods" menu on the Main Menu.

  • Select a mod, click the 3 dots, and select "Open folder in Windows Explorer", a prompt will appear to which you will click "I Understand"

  • Compress the mods into a .zip folder

  • Go to your Game Server Dashboard, click the Management menu dropdown, and click File Manager

  • Upload your .zip folder from step 3 by clicking the 3 dots at the top right and clicking "upload", you may also drag and drop into the "container" directory.

  • Click the 3 dots to the right of the .zip folder and select "Unarchive".

  • Open the mod folders Keys folder, then locate each .biker file, click the 3 dots on the right and select Download.

  • Go to the following directory: /home/container/keys

  • Upload all the downloaded .bikey files

  • Go to the Configuration menu, click Startup Parameters, and locate Additional Mods

  • Enter the desired mod name

    • If there are multiple, separate each mod name by a semi-colon [;]

  • You are free to start your server!
