To change the server map, follow these easy steps:
Log into your Game Server Dashboard and select your 7 Days to Die server.
Go to the Console tab under the System menu and click "Stop".
Power off your server, this is crucial when editing file contents so that nothing is damaged, goes missing, or overlaps and glitches. Also, so that when you start your server backup afterwards your changes are immediately applied.
Locate the Management menu on the left-hand side, use the dropdown and click the File Manager tab.
Scroll down and locate the "serverconfig.xml" file and open it
All of your server settings will be inside the "severconfig.xml" file, edit the value of your desired settings. When done, be sure to click "Save File"
Once inside the server config file, scroll down and find:
*Default line #60*
Change the value ("Navezgane") to one of the following maps:
Navezgane - the default map, built by the game developers. We highly recommend keeping this map, as it reduces the chances of errors, bugs, and issues.
RWG - a random world generation depending on the WorldGenSeed, this is not recommended because players will need to download the map when joining your server.
PREGEN6K - small randomly pre-generated world map.
PREGEN8K - medium randomly pre-generated world map.
PREGENK10K - large randomly pre-generated world map.
Once you have finished your changes, be sure to click "Save File"!
On your next server startup, your new changes will appear
Below the GameWorld setting, you also have access to the game's name and game mode for the world. You may proceed to change these values to how you see fit, just remember to click "Save File" to save your changes!
To make your life easier, use the auto-update feature to have a more hands-off experience with your server. Follow these simple instructions:

Power off your server, this is crucial when editing file contents so that nothing is damaged, goes missing, or overlaps and glitches. Also, so that when you start your server backup afterwards your changes are immediately applied.
Locate the Configuration menu on the left-hand side, use the dropdown menu, and click the Startup Parameters tab.
Under "Auto-update server", replace the [0] with [1] to enable automatic updates.
You can leave this option at 0 if you would like to choose when to update your server.
You can enter [1], start your server with the new update, come back and change it back to [0] so that if any new updates come out you are able to decide if you want to push the update or not by repeating this process.
