Backups

Last reviewed: October 3, 2026

The Backups page lists all of your server's backups, along with their size and when they were created. The number beside Backups in the menu shows how many backups you currently have.

info

The number of backups you can keep depends on your plan. If you have reached your limit, delete an old backup before creating a new one.

To create a backup, you must:

  • Go to the Console and click "Stop" to power off your server, this is essential! Then;
  • Go to the Backups page and click "Create Backup", and;
  • Enter a name for the backup, and;
  • Optionally, list any files or folders to ignore so they are left out of the backup, and;
  • Optionally, enable Locked to protect the backup from being deleted, and;
  • Click "Create".

Your backup will appear in the list once it has finished.

Managing Backups

Each backup has its own actions menu, which allows you to:

  • Download the backup to your computer;
  • Restore the backup, which replaces your server's current files with the backup's files;
  • Lock or Unlock the backup, and;
  • Delete the backup. Locked backups must be unlocked first.
warning

Restoring a backup will overwrite your server's current files. Make sure your server is powered off before restoring!

tip

You can create backups automatically using a schedule. Learn how in the Schedules guide.
