At 1of1 Servers, we’re proud to provide top-tier hosting solutions for gamers, developers, and creators—but what you might not know is that this company started as a bit of a joke and a side bet. As one of the founders of Project Sloth, one of the largest development communities in the FiveM ecosystem, myself and my team have spent countless hours crafting immersive experiences for our community around the world.
Our COO, Christian, once mentioned that he’d always wanted to start a hosting company. At the time, it seemed like a fun idea to explore, so he jokingly challenged me to make it happen. What started as a lighthearted conversation quickly turned into a full-fledged project as we realized just how badly the hosting world needed change—especially for the gaming and FiveM communities we were already a part of.
Both Christian and I were deeply involved in FiveM development, and we kept running into the same frustrating issues:
Unreliable Hosting that couldn’t keep up with our demands.
Weak DDoS Protection that left servers vulnerable.
Slow, Unresponsive Support that made fixing problems a nightmare.
A Lack of Understanding from providers who just didn’t “get” the needs of gamers and developers.
Instead of continuing to deal with these problems, we decided to fix them ourselves. That’s how 1of1 Servers was born—not out of a grand master plan, but from our shared desire to build a hosting company that actually worked for people like us.
